July 6th 2015, Marbella. Global Gift Foundation celebrated it’s IV edition of The Global Gift Gala which turns Marbella in the city host of the main charity summer event of La Costa del Sol’. Gran Meliá Don Pepe hosted an event where the founders María Bravo and Alina Peralta join forces with Eva Longoria as Honorary Chair.

This charitable initiative puts Marbella as an international solidary city – taking place during the Global Gift Philanthropic Weekend, with the main objective of collecting funds for several projects which improves the lives of families in situations of need all around the world.

Actor Amaury Nolasco, well known for his role in the TV series Prison Break and co-star of Eva Longoria’s new TV hit  ‘Hot and Bothered’ was the evenings Master of Ceremony along with CSI Miami actress Eva La Rue. The Gala was full of surprises with international artists who performed their greatest hits such as Taboo (Black Eyed Peas), Descemer Bueno and Chenoa and ambient music by DJ Tony Mendes.

The Global Gift Gala dinner menu was prepared by Chefs Diego Guerrero (Dstage) and Diego del Río (El Lago) both of which hold Michelin stars, chef of Gran Melia Don Pepe, Victor Carracedo and also joined by the “dessert master” and confectioner Jean-Philippe Darcis, who closed the dinner with a magnificent dessert for this wonderful occasion. During the dinner, a one of a kind live auction took place with exclusive batches like one of the iconic panthers by the French sculpturer Richard Orlinsky, a ‘Lambretta’ bike signed by Eva Longoria, Dita Von Teese and Jane Fonda and a unique jewelry piece designed by Neuhaus. Besides these exclusive pieces, guests could bid for a set visit in Hollywood for “Hot and Bothered”, new series staring Amaury Nolasco and Eva Longoria.

Some of the assistants to The Global Gift Gala Marbella were model and actress Caterina López (girlfriend of singer JJ Hamblett from Union J), DJ Tony Mendes, Game of Throne’s actress Laura Pradelska, Bertín Osborne with his daughters Claudia and Alejandra, Fabiola Martínez, Isabel Gemio, Olivia Valere, Mayor of Marbella, Jose Bernal amongst others.

Marbella – A Solidary City.

Funds collected in the Global Gift Philanthropic Weekend were raised for three ONGs.

Alina Peralta affirms that “The foundations chosen share Global Gift Foundation’s same philosophy; helping to improve lives of the ones in situation of need. María and I are really proud of all the actions and activities they do especially the projects they develop.”

Funds raised for Eva Longoria Foundation will serve to develop stronger entrepreneur programs and microcredits designated to Latinas in the United States. Fundación Bertín Osborne will dedicate donations to improve their formation program which will help families with kids with brain damage. Global Gift Foundation, with its social compromise, will continue with the development of its own project one more year: Casa Global Gift, a multifunctional area in Marbella which hosts professional and adapted material for helping kids with rare diseases and support their families. ADISOL, ‘Asociación Bubbles and Dreams, CADI, Adahimar and ‘Asociación Malagueña against cystic fibrosis will work together in this center and in addition with Isabel Gemio Foundation.

Global Gift Awards are special recognitions given to personalities who change people lives inside these groups in a situation of need through their social compromise and their personal and professional work.

During the Gala, Padre Ángel received the ‘Global Gift Humanitarian Award’ for his work leading ‘Mensajeros de la Paz’ who create projects focused to improve life of social groups in situations of need, like elderly, kids or women victims of hunger or exploitation. “We all have the capacity of changing the life of the ones who most need it. Philanthropy, benevolence can be the perfect solution for all the big problems in our times” explained Padre Ángel

In addition, chef and businesswoman Samantha Vallejo-Nájera was awarded with the ‘Global Gift Our Heroes Award’ being recognized for her compromise with social actions, especially with projects aiming to the development of people who suffer disabilities and down syndrome. “Solidarity is something you carry inside. There are thousands of anonymous solidary people who fight every day for a fairer world.” said Samantha

These awards have been given before to personalities like David Beckham, Deepak Chopra, María Carey, Ricky Martin and Vicente del Bosque recognizing nonprofit labors inside their careers.

The most known Global Gift Foundations events are The Global Gift Galas which are celebrated in different and exciting towns around the world such as Paris, London, Dubai, Los Angeles and Mexico, with an objective of creating awareness and collecting funds for local, national and international projects developed by fiscally responsible charity organizations.
