MARIA BRAVO’S GLOBAL GIFT FOUNDATION FINANCES THE SUCCESSFUL 2ND OPERATION OF OLGA SHARIPO IN 6 YEARS

The 11-year-old girl with a talent for painting with a tumour on the right side of her face

Marbella, March 21, 2019: Olga Sharipo, 11, was born with a facial macrocystic vascular malformation known as lymphoma, a tumour that is extremely difficult to treat. For Olga this is not only a physiological problem, but also a psychological one because it is on the right side of her face and as it grows it deforms her features.

The Spanish entrepreneur and philanthropist, creator of the Global Gift Foundation, María Bravo, met Olga Sharipo in 2013, when her parents asked for help to complete the funds required by the hospital to perform the 4th operation of her daughter, who was then 6 years old. Bravo agreed to help the girl who had surgery at the University Children’s Hospital in Switzerland.

It has been 6 years since then and the tumour has not stopped growing, as the doctors had predicted. After a new request for help from her parents, Olga Sharipo was operated on for the 5th time.

In the next 3 months she will undergo 2 more interventions at the San Juan de Dios Hospital in Barcelona, to minimize the tumour on her face: «We are very happy that the operation went well. Olga is a girl with an extraordinary sensitivity. Her work is full of light and beautiful colors, faithful image of the purity that is in her heart,» said Maria Bravo.

Yulia Sharipo: «The doctors are optimistic; the operation has gone very well. Both her father Spartak Sharipo and her older sister and I are very happy and grateful for the help and love received from Maria Bravo and her foundation. They have worked hard to help my girl. I have no words, only huge emotion inside me.» said the girl’s mother to a member of the Global Gift Foundation team the day after Olga’s intervention.
