Created in Mexico, the Televisa Foundation helps Latino children and youth through education and culture. In the Televisa Foundation they are aware that millions of Latino families have come to the United States in search of a dream. Its educational programs help students with scholarships, with equipment for media classrooms in their schools, with reading activities and contests of knowledge. Already more than 3.7 million students and 120,000 teachers in public schools have benefited, promoting the values and culture, social entrepreneurship promoted and encouraged community development and environmental stewardship.
The Televisa Foundation has donated funds used to benefit the following charities in Mexico:
Victoria 147: Thanks to a new initiative more than 1,200 students have been reached with lectures and conferences held by women entrepreneurs, through a series of focused workshops.
Crea: Dedicated to the creation of employment opportunities for women entrepreneurs in underserved communities.
Possible: support to a program that seeks to inspire, identify and support entrepreneurs who aspire to have a high social impact to solve some of the complex social and environmental problems facing Mexico.
Ashoka: This is the first organization that practices and actively supports social entrepreneurship. With the support of the Televisa Foundation and its business programs they search and select female entrepreneurs and make them Members of Ashoka. This entrepreneur will be part of a network of over 2,000 trainees worldwide, receiving both strategic and economic aid.
