Marbella, Monday 16th October 2016. Maria Bravo celebrates the first Reto Solidario de Golf de Ronan Keating y Global Gift + Cena de Gala & Concierto in Estepona & Marbella, respectively. Global Gift Foundation joined forces for the first time with the world renowned Irish Singer Ronan Keating in an unprecedented event that started with a welcome cocktail at La Sala Puerto Banus followed by a dinner at MOSH Fun Kitchen, for the VIP guests & celebrities.
The Solidarity Challenge took place the following day at the Estepona Golf Club, where Ronan Keating tee´d off alongside US Open 2005 Champion, Michael Campbell. Other celebrities to join in the fun included “Cold Feet” actor James Nesbitt, Irish footballer Stephen Hunt, and Spanish Golf Champion 2016, Angel Hidalgo. After the tournament, everyone, including the media, enjoyed a pleasant and well deserved outdoor barbecue, solidarity raffle and prize giving ceremony where the winners took home fabulous Nike sports gear.
That evening, Hotel Gran Meliá Don Pepe received celebrities and attendees with a delicious champagne cocktail with delicious canapes. Popi Hams, gave the Spanish touch with their plates of cheese and ham which as always was a huge success. The cocktail gave way to the red carpet where beauty and talent went hand in hand of female celebrities like María Bravo, Alesha Dixon, Ashley James, Olivia Cox, Storm Keating, Melissa Nkonda and Laura Hamilton who also compered the event.
Maria Bravo & Ronan Keating talked about their foundations and why they have joined forces to make make this dream a reality with Ronan saying “That both him & his wife had deeply admired the work that Maria has been doing all these years with dedication, perseverance and social commitment”. Maria also said that “Ronan was not only the renowned artist that everyone admires, but also an extraordinary human being”.
Both events have also had the institutional support from the Mayor of Estepona, Jose Maria Garcia Urbano and the Marbella Mayor Jose Bernal, who said at the press conference held on September 20th presenting the event: “Politics is this: the union of people of different ideologies joining forces for common good”.
Performances
Singer and Global Gifter, Melissa Nkonda, had all attendees on their feet with her powerful and energetic performance.
Ronan Keating added the final touch of the evening playing some of his greatest hits, including the famous song “When you say nothing at all”, from the film Notting Hill in 1999, played by Julia Roberts and Hugh Grant; and as he said before singing it ‘this song changed everything’. Nowadays, Ronan is the most international Irish Singer with ten albums on the market and several compilations, which has sold over 25 million copies worldwide.
Keating is also an active member of the Global Gift Foundation. He is socially conscientious and founder of the Marie Keating Foundation, in honour of his mother who died of cancer at the age of 51.

Global Gift Foundation:
Global Gift Foundation is a philanthropic non-profit organization that aims to create a positive impact on the lives of children, women and families who are in need. Maria Bravo, founder of the foundation, personally supervised that donations go directly to the projects of the beneficiary organizations, created it in 2013.
The Casa Global Gift is the first project of the foundation.
