The signing of the agreement took place at the Four Seasons Madrid Hotel and it expresses the joint objective of both parties to launch a pioneering initiative in the eSport world: the Gaming for Global Gift movement. “We are excited about this new project and very grateful to eGoGames for their drive to combine play and solidarity” said María Bravo, Founder of the Global Gift Foundation, “The signing of this agreement is only the beginning of a union that, I am convinced, will bear many fruits and, above all will help many people that are currently at risk of social exclusion”.
eGoGames initiative, Gaming for Global Gift will contribute financial aid to causes that the Global Gift Foundation already has underway but, above all, the company is especially excited about a new solidarity project that will bear its name: the eGoGames Global Gift Centre for Social Inclusion & Health Protection which will be a home built in Spain for children without resources, giving them security and supporting their education while helping in the fight against poverty and marginalization.
“The phenomenon of eSports has exploded since the use of mobile phones has grown exponentially as a result of the pandemic. It is true that we are going through a very positive moment as a company, but we are aware that there are realities in our society where circumstances have not accompanied in the same way” explains Mateo Conde, vice president of Business Development at eGoGames, “We feel a certain moral debt in this regard and have decided to take responsibility by promoting our “engaged entertainment” initiative called Gaming for Global Gift. In this way we seek to include and enhance the social component within our leagues and tournaments, turning the individual user experience into an engine of collective change that automatically favours solidarity causes. For us, working together with Global Gift Foundation is a privilege and we are very grateful for the swift turnaround of our agreement. We are excited at the prospect of working hard to exceed expectations. It is a truly beautiful project and, without a doubt, this is the moment for it”.
eGoGames and Global Gift Foundation will seek the involvement of celebrities, both international and national, seeking their contribution through their participation in the eSports tournaments available in eGoGames mobile games, encouraging thousands of gamers to compete against the ‘ stars’. All proceeds from these celebrity-led eSports tournaments will go entirely to the Foundation’s humanitarian causes and the eGoGames Global Gift Centre.
eGoGames has already secured the participation of boxing champion Jonathan ‘Maravilla’ Alonso and also that of actor Jesús Castro. Both encourage all their fans to compete against them, thus demonstrating their skill in Mobile eSports and, above all, their solidarity with the most disadvantaged.
