María Bravo & Eva Longoria turn Madrid into the city of Philanthropy
María Bravo and Eva Longoria Baston host ‘The Global Gift Gala’ presented by Cocobay, bringing together the philanthropic Community in Madrid
- Founder and host Maria Bravo gathered personalities and influencers from around the world of theater, music, sport and philanthropy in a gala full of emotion.
- The actress Eva Longoria Bastón, honorary ambassador of the foundation, was once again the unconditional support of Maria and her project in an evening where she shared the stage and very funny moments with the comedy duo Los Morancos who presented the gala.
- Cristiano Ronaldo, along with the Ángela Navarro Foundation and Royal Theatre Foundation, were the winners of the evening, in recognition of their social work.
- The beneficiary foundations of the evening are the Mensajeros de la Paz Association, Eva Longoria Foundation and Global Gift Foundation.
- The gala menu was designed by two Michelin star chef Ramón Freixa, who wished to join the solidarity cause by supporting the event and providing his services to more than 200 guests.
- Among the attending personalities were Tristán Ulloa, Bertín Osborne and Fabiola, Carmen Lomana, Chenoa, Nuria Fergó, Tamara, Isabel Gemio, Belinda Washington, Julio Baptista, Carlos Falcó, Esther Doña, Oscar Higares and Beatriz de Orleans, among others.
- Rafael Amargo, Adrián Martín Vega, Salvador Beltrán, José Mercé and international DJ´s Bitter Sweet DJ’S added their special touch to the evening.
- The gala was sponsored by Vietnamese businesswoman Coco Tran, who through her company Cocobay, made a financial contribution of € 75,000 to cover the costs of the gala.
Madrid, April 5th. The Global Gift Foundation (GGF) held the second edition of ‘The Global Gift Gala of Madrid’, presented by Cocobay on Tuesday 4th April last night in the emblematic stage of the Royal Theater. The event was consecrated as one of the most important philanthropic events of the capital bringing together relevant personalities from the world of national and international culture & art. Solidarity and glamour were united in a ceremony presented by comedy duo Los Morancos with the gastronomic legacy of chef Ramón Freixa.
“I am very happy to return to Madrid after the great welcome we had last year, accompanied again by so many good friends who we thank for their great support enabling us to continue to communicate hope,” said Maria Bravo, co-founder of the Foundation and Host of Honor of the Gala, who also thanked Eva Longoria, one of the great stars of the night as well as honorary ambassador of the foundation & friend, for supporting the cause.
The actress, declared herself an “unconditional of the great work of the Foundation in Spain and in the world. It really is global and it is an honor for me to be part of this great team, which year after year, does its best to raise funds to improve the lives of children, women and families at risk of exclusion.”
Maria Bravo was also “very grateful to the support provided by the huge list of collaborators and sponsors, who make it possible to celebrate this event. Everything is done with love, especially today by this great woman, Coco Tran.” In this edition, the Vietnamese entrepreneur, alma mater of the Cocobay project located in the city of Da Nang in Vietnam, and who will be hosting ‘The Global Gift Gala’ in Vietnam in 2018, has aligned herself to Eva & Maria thanks to her business relationship with Cristiano Ronaldo, one of the winners of the evening in Madrid. Coco Tran, through her enterprise Cocobay, made an economic contribution of € 75,000 for the work of Global Gift Foundation.
This year ‘The Global Gift Gala’ in Madrid also counted on the support of sponsors Miss Garcia, Gran Meliá Palacio de los Duques, Ramón Freixa Catering Life Gourmet, Teatro Real & Playa Padre. Collaborators, such as Spanish Luxury Luxury Association Spain, whose objective is to raise the profile of Spanish Luxury Brands, and other companies such as Floreale, Komodo, Magalie, Marqués de Riscal, Bodegas Ondarre and the unconditional Duc de la Rose, who every year supports the work of the Foundation.

Beneficiary Founcations
The raised funds on the evening will go to projects of the Messengers of Peace Association, Eva Longoria Foundation and Global Gift Foundation.
The founder announced at the gala that the funds raised will go towards the founding project of GGF, the Global Gift House in Marbella, a multifunctional space that offers specialized support and material adapted for children suffering from chronic diseases and for their family environment. In addition, ‘The Global Gift Gala Madrid’, presented by Cocobay, will also benefit projects of two entities supporting other social causes.
Father Angel, one of the most outstanding GlobalGifters, has attended the gala twice this year, this time as founder of one of the beneficiary´s and thanked GGF for the support that GGF and Maria Bravo provides to his Messengers Of Peace Foundation.
“Thanks to an initiative like this, Messengers of Peace manages to reach more and more people each year through its food banks. We are very grateful to be part of an event as extraordinary as this,” said Father Angel during his speech at the ceremony. The Eva Longoria Foundation will continue to dedícate its resources to improving the lives of latina women by providing micro credits and business advice.
Los Morancos were in charge of adding the comic note and a marked Spanish accent to the gala. “It has been a pleasure to be part of the family of Global Gifters and to see how Spain supports a project whose great challenge is solidarity”, they assured.
Ramón Freixa, creator of a meal for the stars
In this second edition of the gala, Ramón Freixa joined a long list of prestigious chefs who have worked unconditionally with the Global Gift Foundation. The Michelin star and three Repsol Soles chef, was in charge of the gastronomic service. A menu with a distinguished Spanish accent and utilizing the best seasonal produce: “Putting the kitchen at the service of solidarity is one of the challenges that continue to excite me most. We have designed a menu that we hope has been enjoyed by the Global Gift family, which I am delighted to have been part of, “he said.

Throughout the night, a traditional auction took place, as well as a silent auction in which one could make anonymous bids of exclusive lots.
Among the best lots this year, was an exclusive weekend in the Villa Infinity in Ibiza, property of the SARM Family Office, one of the best villas that exist in the island was won by the Brazilian player Julio Baptista who outbid the rest of guests.
