Marbella, July 15, 2024: María Bravo has been awarded the Special REM Award (Network of Businesswomen of Marbella-Campo de Gibraltar) in an emotional ceremony held on Friday, July 12, at the Hotel Occidental Puerto Banús. This prestigious award was given to her “in recognition of her outstanding work at the Global Gift Foundation, especially at Casa Ángeles, and for her remarkable resilience, making her a female role model both nationally and internationally,” stated REM president Isabel Carrasco in a letter addressed to María.

The REM Board of Directors, in their meeting last May, decided to award this prize to María Bravo, highlighting her career and her positive impact on society, following in the footsteps of previous awardees such as Gloria Lomana, Ainhoa Arteta, and Irene Villa.

María Bravo expressed her deep gratitude and dedicated the award to all the people who have supported her work at the Global Gift Foundation. Her inspiring speech emphasized the importance of solidarity and commitment to social causes, reaffirming her dedication to continue working to improve the lives of children and young people at Casa Ángeles. María also underscored the relevance of supporting other women and promoting female empowerment, highlighting that “together we can achieve significant goals and gradually transform society”.

The gala, which brought together prominent figures from the business and social spheres, also awarded other women, members of REM: Sandra Valdivia for “Best Presentation/Workshop of the Year”; Ada Narváez as “Best Businesswoman/Entrepreneur of the Year”; Sonia Gil for “Best Networker of the Year”; and finally, the “Most Participative Member” award went to Salesa González. Isabel Cintado, the Councilor for Social Rights of Marbella City Council, received two mentions, one for her professional career and another for her birthday, a gesture that shows the affection we have for her in Marbella.

REM is an association of entrepreneurial, business, and professional women, founded on the Costa del Sol in 2009, with the aim of joining forces and promoting networking. In 2012, REM became part of the Federation of Business and Professional Women (BPW), expanding its reach and establishing itself as a consultative body of the United Nations and participating in various government commissions of the CEOE.

Today, REM continues to grow, opening its doors not only to women but also to men through the figure of the collaborating businessman, and remains a fundamental pillar for its members in Marbella and Campo de Gibraltar.
