Asociación Parkinson Sol Estepona (APSE)
The Sol Parkinson Association Estepona is a support group for those with the disease and their families in which all workers are volunteers.
Thanks to the support and funding of Global Gift Foundation, the Association have acquired rehabilitation equipment in order to carry out a rehabilitation and mobility program for people with Parkinson’s and other neurodegenerative diseases. In this way they are allowed to keep improving skills lost or damaged due to lack of rehabilitation.
This type of treatment is aimed at maintaining motor skills, affected by Parkinson’s disease, with the hope of keeping patients in the best possible shape. Patients carry out the following activities individually and in group sessions: physiotherapy, yoga, individual therapeutic massage, painting workshop, crafts workshop, group therapy mental relaxation and pilates.
